Bird Houses: All of the bird houses are made for mid-sized birds, wrens, chickadees, finches and bluebirds. They are made with all natural materials such as bark,stone,cedar and twigs. We love to go on excursions in the woods or to the river to collect materials. All wood and bark are gathered from dead and downed trees. Most of the houses start at $45 and go up to $75 depending on how much work has been added; like stone chimneys, window boxes, unique wood pieces, porches etc. The majority should be placed 6-10 feet off the ground,not facing north or in a busy traffic area. Bluebirds prefer open fields and lower to the ground but Chickadees like them to be placed higher and in a wooded area. Feel free to call for one made to your specs. |
